At HighCraft, we love remodeling older homes. But sometimes the original structure is so distressed or nonfunctional that it makes more sense to raze the house and build a new custom home.
This is exactly what we did for homeowners on Horseshoe Lake in north Loveland. HighCraft scraped the original 1968 ranch home down to the foundation and extended the footprint.
The new 2,811-s.f. custom home includes three bedrooms, three full baths, a gourmet kitchen, and a spacious rear deck with spectacular waterfront views.
(Before) The old kitchen was dark and dated.
(After) The new larger kitchen is light, bright and perfect for entertaining.
The open floorplan is designed for family gatherings at the lake house.
The new main floor layout includes a great room with fireplace and ample seating, and easy access to the spacious back deck with amazing views of the lake.
A long concrete drive was installed to connect a private boat ramp on Horseshoe Lake to the oversized 1,748-s.f. two-bay garage.
The upper deck offers comfortable seating and a bird’s eye view of Horseshoe Lake below.
(Before) The old deck had some awkward, wasted space, and the home lacked indoor storage for the boat.
(After rendering) The gas-burning fire feature that anchors the ground-level outdoor living space is a favorite spot to cozy up on chilly nights. The back garage bay is dedicated to boat storage, making both winterizing and summer lake access a snap.
These pre-construction renderings helped the homeowners visualize a guest bedroom with built-in custom bunks perfect for kids!
(Before) The main bathroom was dark, cramped and lacked character.
(After) The new bathroom is light, roomy and beautiful.
The new master bath is far more functional and provides easy access to a walk-in closet with built-ins.
