Respite Care, Inc. is a nonprofit in Larimer County that provides short-term care for children with developmental disabilities, giving much-needed respite to parents and enhancing the quality of life for the entire family.
Respite Care of Fort Collins is creating an interactive garden! The garden will include a memorial, a sensory area, pizza and salsa gardens, and a fun and colorful playhouse. Once the garden is complete, Respite clients will be able to enjoy the outdoors, fill sensory needs and discover amazing learning opportunities through a hands-on garden experience.
HighCraft Design Manager Kira Koldeway is a member of the NoCo International Interior Design Association (IIDA) chapter that hosted a hardscaping volunteer day on September 13th to support the Respite Care garden.
Kira led the HighCraft team of seven hardy volunteers that weeded beds, installed fencing, and built a retaining wall for the playhouse.
Thanks to everyone who pitched in to make this day such a success for Respite Care, and a BIG thank you to our dear Kira for her generous spirit!
