Grant and Julia were ready to update their kitchen, so they called HighCraft Builders. The couple loves the Colorado outdoors, and wanted a mix of rustic and contemporary finishes for a modern mountain vibe.
They chose hickory cabinets with a rich, acorn stain and brushed nickel hardware.
Durable quartz countertops were a great choice for the young family. Two islands, each with its own sink, provide plenty of space to prep and serve food and drinks.
The modern and sleek faucets are finished in brushed nickel.
And because quartz countertops can be fabricated into virtually any shape, it was the perfect material to use for this precision installation around the rustic structural columns.
The newly remodeled kitchen provides plenty of seating at the breakfast bar.
Engineered hardwood flooring in Pacaya mesquite features random-width planks with a sawn face for more rustic character.
Grant and Julia selected some amazing appliances, including this Wolf natural gas range and matching stainless steel hood.
And this Bosch microwave is a great choice for an under-counter installation.
The beverage cooler, another under-counter appliance, can keep multiple wine bottles at just the right temperature.
These globe pendants add practical task lighting, as well as an interesting structural component, to Grant and Julia’s modern mountain design.
The kitchen’s accent wall in neutral picket tiles, the expanse of lighter countertop space, and the glowing globe pendant lights, balance the abundance of darker wood.
The concrete flooring, with its cooler-hued custom stain and intentional imperfections, adds more texture to the space. Explore more interior design uses for concrete in the post Concrete Ideas.
The 32-inch diameter chandelier makes a statement in the dining room.
Our team loved working on Grant and Julia’s kitchen. It’s truly the heart of their home, and the remodel makes the open-concept floorplan more functional, cohesive and inviting.
