We all know the adage “April showers bring May flowers.” At HighCraft, it not only reminds us that colorful blooms are on the horizon, it also makes our team think about one of the most important rooms in our homes – the bathroom. Because what are today’s bathrooms without great showers?
Whether you’re thinking about a bathroom remodel, or gathering ideas for a future custom home build, here are seven bathroom shower ideas for inspiration:
1. Warm Walk-In with Views
The slate grays and clean lines of this walk-in shower create a cool, modern vibe for this master bathroom. But it’s anything but cold. Orange accent tiles, multiple shower heads, radiant floor heating, and heated towel bars, add plenty of warmth to the space.
It also includes watertight windows so the homeowners can enjoy the beautiful landscape as they shower.

2. Modified Wet Room
When it comes to bathroom remodeling, more and more homeowners are adding an enclosed wet room. In this Fort Collins project, a glass wall separates the shower and tub area from the rest of the space, creating a decadent wet room within the master bathroom remodel.
The shower includes a standard wall-mounted showerhead, ceiling-mounted rain head, and adjustable hand shower. We installed watertight fiberglass windows, well-suited for wet locations.

3. Frameless Glass Walls
The frameless glass shower walls in this bathroom remodel preserve uninterrupted tile patterns and sight lines, which make the room appear larger.
The shower’s floating bench is as beautiful as it is simple, allowing the gorgeous herringbone floor tile to steal the show.

4. His and Her Shower
In this Windsor bathroom remodel, we installed a bench down the length of this 4-foot by 12-foot steam shower that can accommodate two reclining adults.
The shower includes his and her rain heads, body sprays, massage heads and handheld showers with settings customized for each person.

5. Gilded Steam Shower
Our custom home clients in Berthoud love their bathroom shower with its three shower heads, six jets, steam feature, and gold accents. They call it “an experience in luxury.”
The shower’s glass walls showcase its gorgeous tile and gold fixtures, which complement the rich onyx-stained hickory cabinets used for the vanities.

6. ADA-Compliant with Body Lift
In this Fort Collins guest house, we installed a body transfer system with ceiling track …
… that can move a loved one with disabilities from the bedroom, past the laundry, directly into the bathroom and shower.
The track was integral to the guest house design from the very beginning, which drove the planning process. Careful consideration was made to not only execute a pleasing finished aesthetic, but to also ensure necessary reinforcements were part of the underlying structural framing.
The shower also includes a handheld sprayer, lever controls, multiple grab bars, and a wide doorway. A curbless entry ensures the shower pan is flush with the bathroom flooring, making it even more accessible.

7. Aroma and Chroma Therapies
In this Fort Collins remodel, our team borrowed square footage from exterior storage to expand the master bathroom into a 400-square-foot, spa-like retreat.
The additional space accommodates the copper soaking tub and large aromatherapy and chromatherapy steam shower. One of the chromatherapy settings is shown (above, right).
